I like grilling. :D
So thanks to friends, coworkers, and family I’ve officially started a new project. I’m building a custom lightsaber from scratch! Why build a custom one?
Well, it’ll have full color selection via a dial while running, motion activated sound/light effects, and lastly I’m gonna put in a special ‘rainbow’ mode that’ll constantly adjust the colors of the blade! I’ve already got my folks too wanting to make me a sith costume to go with it, my niece wants to have a duel with me, and I’ve been informed this will pump my geek levels to ‘blimp’ heights.
So should I post progress shots and stuff here, guys? Would y’all be interested?
Another commission, this one of a friend’s character as a Senshipony (at two different ages, because we couldn’t decide which would be more awesome).
I’m particularly fond of the adult version because holy crap I drew awesome things.
Go, Star Dancer, burn ALL THE THINGS. <insert evil laughter here>
This is apparently A Thing I do now. ;>
(real Senshiponi art coming soon!)
Look, it’s Sunset Dancer as a senshi! She’s Star Dancer, better watch out or she’ll show you just how hot she is!
Yay, time to head out! I’ve got a course on photography lighting I’ve waited almost two years to see if it’d come where I live, then the last few months for the course to start! And even better, there’s only like ~20 people, so it’ll be a lot more focused. Yay!
Let’s discuss Feather’s adventures in technology.
I have an Iphone 5. It’s the second one I have, because the last one died a tragic death after going swimming with me in Belize. (It was in my pocket. WHOOPS.) Got a new one, worked fine until the account rollover the next month, then my data stopped working at all, including missed calls but mostly mobile 3G/LTE service not working.
Today I worked a 10 hour day, went and had my car professionally cleaned, then went to Verizon to have them look at my phone and was there for over 2 hours. I talked to them about all 6 things I did to try and fix it on my own. They wound up replacing the SIM, but it spent over an hour and a half waiting to activate. At one point during the activation they were calling in to try and have them do account-level stuff, and I said “It’s never something simple, just watch, something’s gonna happen to screw this up too.” (They’d earlier today accidentally locked my entire family’s account to fix my phone.) Not five minutes later, the power goes out and kills the phone conversation. One of the guys in the store went “Wow, you DO put out bad ju-ju!”
However I did help them figure out one customer’s problem, identify the likely cuplrit in their printer’s issues, and told them what command they needed to run to fix their TV screens, which were on the fritz and either blank or displaying error messages.
My phone is still not working with data. And as an added bonus, it now also won’t do phone calls, thanks to the replaced SIM refusing to activate.
TL;DR: Feather’s phone wasn’t working with data. Went to get it fixed, caused family’s phones to become locked, went through power outage, fixed phone problems for others, but now has a phone that won’t even make phone calls.
